Many of you have heared or even used the term "Breakfast" when playing '01 darts and hitting the dreaded 26 - S20-S5-S1 shot. There are a lot of people who claim they came up with this term, they are mistaken. I came up with the term and here is how. When I was in highschool I took a pre-college electronic engineer course taught by Dr. Robert Fine. Whenever someone blew something up or electrocuted themselves in his lab Dr. Fine would always say "Jeeeso Cringo what did you do now you ham and egger." When one day he was asked what he meant by ham and egger he replied "It's the cheapest thing on the menu." Dr. Fine went on to explain if you ever read the menu of a full service retaurant you will find that meals listed on the breakfast portion are usually the least expensive. This was Dr. Fine's contribution. Years later when I started throwing darts I was terrible and thankful for any 26's I threw. After I became more proficient and after buying Mike Fish countless Miller High Lifes for the lessons I outgrew the 26's. I became dissapointed every time I threw a 26, it was my ham and egger, the cheapest thing on the menu, "BREAKFAST". That is how "BREAKFAST" was born.
